Production Supervisor Shanghai plant
Main aim of job:
To support the achievement of agreed budgets, quality standards, delivery and customer requirements through the efficient management and control of the production area ensuring process adherence, maintaining good employee relations, promoting teamwork and the provision of a safe working environment.
Job description:
- Plan and organise production capacity (personnel and equipment) in order to meet customer programmed requirements
- Monitor and control production key performance indicators, cost, process, quality, delivery, housekeeping, absence etc in accordance with company requirements
- Liaise with logistics department in respect to outgoing parts and stock management of incoming material
- Respond to and find solutions to production issues, liaise with other internal departments as necessary. Ensure minimum disruption to customer deliveries
- Contribute to and support the introduction of new products, facilities, machinery and process to the area
- Support and participate in continuous improvement activities in order to optimise equipment and processes
- Recruit, train and develop the production team required, both in number and quality, to meet present and future needs
- Build effective teams, develop motivation and commitment and maintain morale
- Support effective Industrial Relations
- Ensure that production and company information is communicated effectively to the team
- Ensure compliance with policies and procedures of the company including Health and Safety, Environmental and be pro-active in the development of a safe working environment
- Deputise for other supervisors and their production areas as required
- Tasks that are for the benefit of Brose SHN operation assigned by production manager or the General Manager. (These tasks could be cross functional)
Job requirement:
- 5 years experience in a supervisory role - preferably high volume production experience
- Computer literate
Knowledge of MTM
Employment Law - understanding
Team building and employee development - coaching, teaching
Leadership skills
Production planning, manufacturing processes
Financial awareness - understanding
Time Management / Organising / Objective or target setting / Prioritisation skills
